The Nine Eagles Solo Pro 290 Lama Helicopter

The Nine Eagles Solo Pro 290 Lama Helicopter

The Nine Eagles Solo Pro 290 Lama from Tower Hobbies is a highly detailed, and ready to fly, replica of the Aérospatiale SA-315 Lama, a French utility helicopter for both civilian and military uses. Available in both a ready-to-fly and TR (Transmitter-Ready) version, great care was taken to recreate many of the full-scale features, such as the striking tubular frame, the fully articulated 3-blade rotor head, functioning LED lights, as well as additional fine details such as the fuel tank and turbine areas. A 3-blade tail rotor enhances scale looks, while also improving stability and handling. The Lama is test-flown and adjusted at the factory, and is ready to fly after charging the included li-po battery and installing some AA cells in the transmitter. Brushless power, combined with a collective-pitch rotor head and shaft driven tail rotor, also give it aerobatic capabilities. The 4-in-1 control unit combines a receiver and mixer with a 20A brushless ESC and stabilizing 3-axis gyro, while the 6-Channel 2.4GHz SLT™ computer radio has 10-model memory, a 5-point pitch curve, exponential, digital trims and adjustable gyro sensitivity. And since it’s an SLT system, it’s also compatible with all Tx-R aircraft.
Specifications:
Rotor Diameter: 17.7 in (450 mm)
Overall Length: 18 in (456 mm)
Weight: 16.6 oz (470 g)
Power System: main motor
RTF requires: 8 “AA” batteries
TR version requires: 6-channel 2.4GHz SLT radio system

    1. This helicopter was sold by Tower Hobbies. Although it is now discontinued, they may still have some spare parts laying around, or may know where you can find some. I would suggest you contact them.

  2. I have two of them both still for he can’t find any spare parts ….. one would need a stupid one the other has nothing snowy batteries for both of which I can’t find … pity that this crisis has done all this damage … beautiful helicopter but can use as a paperweight
