Red Tails of WW II and more!
Just in time for the January release of the movie Red Tails, we’re taking a look at the real-life Tuskegee Airmen, also known as the Red Tails of WW II, also featured in the February 2012 issue of Model Airplane News. The article also includes a full-size razorback Mustang in Red Tail markings. One of the pilots who flies this Mustang at airshows got his start in aviation through model airplanes and is an RC pilot himself.
